Gooboo Steve is a wandering salesman of the Gooboo Berries, and can be found at various locations around Southern Rivers. He is also an expert on the Quinkan after studying them for the past 1,000,000 years.

In Ty the Tasmanian Tiger 2: Bush Rescue, Gooboo Steve can be found at various locations around Southern Rivers. Approaching him will result in a speech, which will be different every time, after which he will give Ty some Opals and disappear from that location. Gooboo Steve believes that Ty is too young for Gooboo Berries, which speculates that the Gooboo Berries have an alcoholic effect when consumed.
In Ty the Tasmanian Tiger 3: Night of the Quinkan, it is found out that when Gooboo Steve was talking about "them" in the previous game, he was in fact referring to the Quinkan.

- Gooboo Steve was jokingly modelled after Steve Stamatiadis of Krome Studios who had a major part in making the games. Stamatiadis uses the alias "Gooboo Steve" on several websites, and also did the voice acting for the character.
