Behind the scenes information

Demon Fluffies are mechs that appears only during the opening mission of Ty the Tasmanian Tiger 2: Bush Rescue. They were used to help break Boss Cass out of the Currawong Jail. They are equipped with a high-powered laser.

They are also seen as a hazard in Ty the Tasmanian Tiger 3: Night of the Quinkan on the race track Respect Effect. It remains stationary, covered in moss and firing a laser.

They are 1410 cm tall and black with red flames painted on them. Their heads have a single mechanical eye centered in the front.

They will attack Ty directly while in control of the Battle Bunyip, or if they complete their path to reach the Bunyip Mortar.

Strategy[]

The only way to defeat a Demon Fluffy is by reaching the top of the Old Barracks in Currawong. Using a Bunyip to activate the Bunyip Mortars and fire at them until their health bar runs completely down.

Aiming for the head does significantly more damage.

As Demon Fluffies do not move very fast, a good aim should be able to destroy them before they can come too close.

Variants[]

A retextured Demon Fluffy appears during a boss fight with Fluffy at the loading docks, called Aqua Fluffies. They are unable to attack and do not register Ty, but regenerate Fluffy's health making it key to destory them.

Trivia[]

  • During the first level of Ty the Tasmanian Tiger 2: Bush Rescue, Demon Fluffies are seen walking 2 set pathes. It is unknown how the secondary path can be walked as it is made of dense forest with no gaps.
  • In the HD remake of Ty the Tasmanian Tiger 2: Bush Rescue, if you let the Demon Fluffy complete its route to you at the Bunyip Mortar, 2 will be visible in the cutscene where the head is blown off.
  • In the cutscene where Fluffy arrives, Ty is seen jumping from the Bunyip Mortar while a Demon Fluffy falls to the group behind him. None are fought from that direction and the remains of it do not exist outside of the cutscene.
  • Before entering the Bunyip Mortar, if you stand inbetween the legs of the Demon Fluffy it will be unable to attack you and the upper half will spin in circles.
  • During the Bunyip Mortar fight sequence, the Demon Fluffy will always stop to destory the houses to the left.
  • The demon fluffy will always have a slit red eye, except for during the cutscene where it is pink with moving lenses.
